The Villas of Almaden is a private, gated 53 acre community, often described by its residents as ‘an oasis’ within the Almaden Valley in San Jose, California.
Consisting of 180 townhomes with attached garages nestled in both hilly and valley terrain, the Villas are graced by ancient oak trees and roaming deer, as well as squirrels and birds throughout the landscape. Homeowners value the peaceful ambiance of the Villas and find it a welcome retreat from the fast pace of Silicon Valley. Yet this ‘oasis’, located near Meridian Avenue and Coleman Road, is convenient to major shopping centers and golf courses.
Residents enjoy a large, redecorated 2-story clubhouse, two swimming pools, a spa and sauna, lighted tennis courts, a racketball court and other facilities. This community borders several parks, including the Guadalupe Oak Grove Park, which is open to the public, but preserved in a natural state. The Villas offer many ways in which residents may choose to become involved (or not) by participating in committees or on the Board of Directors for the Homeowners’ Association, the governing body for the Villas. As opportunities become available, residents may join committees such as landscaping, architectural control, communications, safety and well-being, social get-togethers and others. Resident participation fosters teamwork within the community and helps keep association fees to a minimum.
